Added 23 October 09 - Due to the UK postal strikes we are delaying dispatching orders until Monday/Tuesday the 26th and 27th to avoid customer's orders being delayed further.
Royal mail has noted that orders dispatched during the strike will be the last delivered as they will be on the bottom of the pile. Here is an exerp from them.
But if the industrial dispute between Royal Mail and the Communication Workers Union (CWU) drags on and more strikes are called, some letters stuck in the system will take even longer to reach their destination. Jonathan de Carteret, founder of broker Post-Switch, said that Royal Mail was using special warehouses to house the undelivered mail which will get topped up as and when more strikes take place. Letters waylaid by the first strikes will be the last to get delivered because they will be literally at the bottom of the pile. "While Royal Mail works through the backlog of letters, it's unfortunately a case of first in, last out," he said
We advise customers who don't want to wait to use the courier service available at check out. The cost is £8.65 for the UK.
Customers that have already placed orders but would like to upgrade can call or email us to arrange payment to do this.
