Why aren't t-shirts dispatched immediately?
Answer: T-shirts are a non-stock item. There are over 500 t-shirt designs and up to 9 sizes for each. That's a lot of t-shirts! We don't have the room to be able to carry all those designs and sizes in quantities to provide same day dispatch.
We order from the UK distributor of The Mountain t-shirts on a daily basis. They dispatch to us twice a week.
Why do some t-shirt designs say 5-7 working days and others say 7-14 working days?

(these buttons will appear on each individual t-shirt page)
Answer: The Mountain t-shirts are manufactured in the US. Our distributor hold in stock the proven best sellers. The turn around then is fairly quick, but we recommend 5-7 working days just in case of delays at the warehouse.
Some of the less popular designs are special ordered in each Tuesday from the US. These are marked 7-14 working days. If you order one of these designs after 11:00 am GMT on a Tuesday that design won't be ordered with their weekly US order until the following Tuesday. Thus making the wait time for dispatch approximately 14 working days.
However; if you've ordered on a Monday or early on Tuesday then it is ordered with their weekly US order and received the following Tuesday. We receive it from the distributor that Wednesday or Thursday. Thus making your dispatch at approximately 7 working days.
What happens when my t-shirt order includes other products?
Answer: If you have other products such as greeting cards, or bath products included in with your t-shirt order; they will not be dispatched until your t-shirts are ready.
Postage is calculated on the products weight and value in your shopping cart. It also set for packaging materials on one complete order and one signed for or trackable delivery.
If you require some of the products immediately we suggest ordering separately from your t-shirt order. Products then marked for immediate dispatch will be posted to you within 24 hours of a working day.
Can you explain working days?
Answer: Working days are Monday through Friday between the hours of 9-5 GMT. Royal Mail, Couriers, and our distributors are not operating outside these times. Nor do they operate on weekends, or holidays.
If you order your t-shirt from us after 5 pm GMT, it won't be ordered until the following morning (or working day). You would then classify that as your first official working day.
Why is there a backorder?
Answer: The Mountain t-shirts have a unique and complicated dying process. Unlike traditional t-shirt companies that have a simple press or iron on system, The Mountain t-shirts are dyed in stages.
Due to this process they will wait until all sizes of a particular design have run out before they re-print that design again. Depending on the popularity of the design will determine how quickly the back order is fullfilled.
** However; we are now under a new system where we are getting a weekly inventory level from The Mountain. We can then mark t-shirts that are out of stock on our site. |
